Planning a dinner or event? A 50g tin serves 1–2 people as a tasting; allow about 28g per person. For gifting, see our caviar gift ideas in Dubai, and add a mother-of-pearl spoon to complete the gift.
Why does Beluga cost more than Osetra?
Price comes down to the sturgeon. Beluga sturgeon take far longer to mature than Osetra sturgeon before they produce roe, so each tin represents many more years of farming. Beluga pearls are also the largest and softest of any caviar. Osetra is the best value for most people: firm, nutty pearls at a lower price. Royal Gold, with its golden pearls, is our most exclusive caviar and sits at the top of the range.
How to tell if a caviar price is too good to be true
- Very cheap "black caviar" is often lumpfish or capelin roe that has been dyed. Real sturgeon caviar is never priced like a supermarket spread.
- Ask how it is delivered. Caviar must stay between −3°C and 0°C. Samarkha delivers every order in an insulated bag with frozen gel packs.
